Brian Tervo

Brian Tervo is the founding Musical Director for Emerald City Ringers. He has been ringing handbells since 1989 and has been directing since 1995. In addition to Emerald City Ringers, Brian directs the handbell program at Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines. He is a published handbell composer and arranger, has taught classes at numerous handbell festivals and workshops, and is a Past Chair for Area 10 of the Handbell Musicians of America. Brian earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and has worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft. He is working toward a Master in Education from Western Governors University and looks forward to his next career teaching mathematics.
